Vacchiano: After stumble, more humble from Jason Pierre-Paul

The brashness that the old JPP seemed to have doesn’t seem to be there anymore. At least it’s not the same as it was in years past, when he was sure he could do anything and the Giants would win every game.

Now, even as he promises “I’m still the same JPP,” he’s careful to temper expectations. He seems humbled, as perhaps he should be, from the days when he thought he was invincible, due to the fireworks accident that cost him millions of dollars, nearly ruined his career and destroyed a good part of his right hand.
