Tyler Sash, a former Giants safety who was on the Super Bowl XLVI winning team that beat the Patriots, died Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports. He was 27.
Hawkeyenation.com first reported the news. KCCI-TV in Iowa confirmed the news, reporting Sash was found at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning by a family member. Sash was born in Iowa and played collegiately for the University of Iowa.
Sash was a sixth-round pick of the Giants in the 2011 NFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the team before he was cut at the end of training camp in 2013.
