When the Giants midway through the 2018 season decided to trade away their top interior defensive lineman, Damon “Snacks’’ Harrison, it was a clear indication the new coaching regime wanted to go in a different direction. Harrison, a mammoth run-stopper, is one of the best in the NFL at what he does, but the Giants craved more versatility and inter-changeability along the line.
