If you hadn’t already, its certainly time to start accepting that the New York Giants are (or should be) in rebuild mode. Most-besides Gettleman saw that when he took over this team in 2018, that it would need to be overhauled. Instead of doing the tough work at the right time, Gettleman has attempted to put lipstick on a pig twice now — it may end up dooming the Giants.
The right time for Gettleman to blow things up was immediately-upon signing up for the gig. Even still, I’d be willing to give him a pass for trying to slap together a team and give Eli Manning one last go at it if it was only 2018 we were talking about — to come back and try that same thing again this year after seeing what this team did last year is malpractice.
