NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The newly released documents of Giants kicker Josh Brown admitting to physically and emotionally abusing his former wife is drawing a strong reaction from the public.
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. issued a strong message to Brown on Twitter on Thursday.
“You know what if your ex-wife was my daughter yo ASS would be on IR…. what a shame NFL acts like it cares,” Smith wrote.
New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito called on the NFL to increase its punishment for Brown, who has already served a one-game suspension stemming from his May 2015 arrest on a domestic violence charge.
