It’s hard to imagine anyone in the world being happier than Odell Beckham Jr. after he officially became the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL by signing a five-year, $95 million contract extension ($65 million guaranteed) with the Giants.
But we don’t have to imagine. Sterling Shepard provided evidence there may have been.
Following Monday’s announcement of the agreement, Shepard posted a video to his Instagram story in which the third-year receiver looked even more ecstatic than his superstar teammate. As The O’Jays’ “For the Love of Money” played from the speakers inside the Giants locker room, Shepard danced with Beckham, smiling and laughing throughout the clip, as if he were getting a cut of Beckham’s new deal.
