Snee, Osi begin Giants’ celebration of recent Super Bowls

The names Osi Umenyiora and Chris Snee still resonate with Giants fans, as they were key players in the franchise’s two most recent Super Bowl titles, after the 2007 and 2011 seasons. Both recently retired and the Giants moved quickly to honor them.

Snee and Umenyiora will enter the franchise’s Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony Sunday night when the Giants face the 49ers at MetLife Stadium.

“It is special, because I think it was a great era,” Snee said. “The more I get to be around Giants fans and the appreciation for that decade when we were around, the success we had, it was really an exciting time to be a Giant fan.
