A man ran onto the field midway through the Giants' game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium. With 13:15 to play, and the Giants with the ball, the man ran onto the field wearing a red No. 59 jersey and was tackled by police officers near midfield. He tried to struggle free but was eventually taken off the field by a host of security people.
The Giants led, 13-6 at the time, although they wound up punting on the drive, and the Niners scored a TD on the following drive when QB Colin Kaepernick threw a three-yard TD pass to Anquan Boldin.
