Surely Pat Shurmur and Co. have plenty of goals to achieve in the team’s preseason opener against the hated, cross town rival New York Jets tonight. However, all of those goals pale in comparison long term to making sure rookie Daniel Jones gets off to a positive start.
With all of the heat surrounding the Giants’ brass for passing on a QB in a supposedly quarterback rich 2018 draft, and (if you ask anyone but Dave Gettleman) over-drafting Daniel Jones the next year, fans are simply going to want to see if this kid can stand out on an NFL field.
