Saquon Barkley 'wasn't big Sam Darnold fan' at first ... but now? | Giants, Jets rookies will share 'same city for a long time'

If you follow the NFL Draft, you probably heard about Saquon Barkley's epic Rose Bowl performance.

In the game that really launched him on the map as a top draft pick, Barkley finished with 306 total yards rushing, receiving and returning plus three touchdowns from scrimmage. He had a remarkable 79-yard run that doesn't account for the steps taken cutting across the field.

And Penn State lost. Why? Because USC quarterback Sam Darnold threw for 453 yards and five touchdowns, leading a 14-point fourth-quarter comeback.

"I wasn't a big Sam Darnold fan after they beat us in the Rose Bowl game my sophomore year, but that's just a competitive thing," Barkley said.
