New York police are investigating Giants defensive tackle Jay Bromley after a woman claimed he tried to rape her and then struck her with his car while fleeing, according to media reports.
The New York Daily News and New York Post report that Bromley interacted with the woman online and asked her to meet him at a Manhattan hotel, where he tried to rape her, police sources told the newspapers.
Bromley allegedly hit the woman with his car while leaving the hotel, the newspapers report.
Officials told the Daily News and Post that the investigation is preliminary and that no charges have been filed.
