Paul Schwartz of the New York Post is reporting that the New York Giants could activate running back Saquon Barkley off of the PUP list this week.
The tweet engages in a bit of hyperbole and the report is vague, but the return of Barkley would certainly be welcome news for the Giants.
The report is credited to a "source" and as of this writing nothing has been confirmed by other outlets or the team itself.
Schwartz takes care to emphasize that while Barkley -- who has been seen working with trainers on the side during practices -- will begin practicing with the team, the Giants will continue to be cautious with his rehab.
