Randy Bullock will be Giants’ Week 1 placekicker

Randy Bullock will be the Week 1 placekicker for the New York Giants, coach Ben McAdoo confirmed on Wednesday. Bullock, signed by the Giants during the preseason, will replace Josh Brown, suspended one game for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Bullock’s status had been called into question because of reports that the Giants worked out experienced placekickers Shayne Graham and Cody Parkey on Tuesday.

Parkey, 24, was a Pro Bowl kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2014, making 32-of-36 field-goal attempts. He made just 3-of-4 last season, though, and was beaten out by Caleb Sturgis this season.
