Tom Coughlin has resigned and the Giants are officially in the market for a new head coach. Here is a look at some logical candidates:
Ben McAdoo, Giants offensive coordinator
The offense has thrived under his direction and Eli Manning loves him. He would represent continuity, too. However, he has been a coordinator for only two years. And there would be questions whether he has the personality to handle the hot seat in New York.
Sean Payton, Saints head coach
The Giants know the Super Bowl champion well from his time as an offensive assistant and coordinator under Jim Fassel, but the Giants would have to trade for him — price tag likely a second-round draft pick.
