A year ago this time, many felt the New York Giants had one of the best secondaries in the NFL with Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple, Landon Collins, Darian Thompson and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.
They were coming off a season in which the team finished 11-5 and showcased two members of the secondary, Collins and Jenkins, as Pro Bowlers. The secondary was even given a nickname NYPD (New York Pass Defense).
But the secondary, along with the rest of the Giants, struggled mightily last season as they had the 31st ranked pass defense.
