Kyle Shurmur was 14 when his father began coaching the Browns. Maybe that was when and where the boy discovered the strength of character Pat Shurmur has carried through his football life all the way to head coach of the New York Football Giants.
“The times in Cleveland were a little rough,” Kyle told The Post. “They only won nine games in two years. Hearing people say stuff about your dad growing up, you learned to have some thick skin, definitely prepared me for what I’m doing now, having some thick skin as a player.
