Kyle Lauletta’s run-in with the law may have repercussions on the field, too.
On his weekly radio spot on WFAN, Giants coach Pat Shurmur hinted at the possibility the team will discipline the rookie quarterback, who was arrested Tuesday morning for “various motor vehicle and related disorderly persons offenses,” according to the Weehawken, N.J., Police Department.
“This is not going to be taken lightly,” Shurmur said.
When asked if Lauletta, a fourth-round pick from Richmond, will be suspended, the coach said, “We’ll see.” A hefty fine is likely coming. Shurmur said the incident was “disturbing” and that there will be “consequences for this type of behavior.
