Outsider's take on Giants' Eli Manning's struggles: Is Nate Solder to blame?

The end is coming for Giants quarterback Eli Manning. That much is certain.

What is less certain is how much of the team's 1-7 start can be attributed to Manning's decline.

General manager Dave Gettleman knew when he took the job that he needed to upgrade the offensive line to help Manning.

So he went out and poached the best left tackle on the market: Nate Solder, who had spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career winning a pair of Super Bowls while protecting the backside of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
