Most of the Giants were a bit astonished to see rookie quarterback Kyle Lauletta take off and score on 10-yard scramble in Friday night’s 30-17 preseason victory in Detroit, using a running back-type cutback to elude two Lions defenders. Most, but not all.
“I knew,’’ defensive lineman Kerry Wynn said. “I don’t know if everybody else knew, Maybe they weren’t watching as much. We didn’t have too many televised games.’’
The “we’’ Wynn refers to is Richmond, the school where Lauletta and Wynn played college football.
“He’s an athlete,’’ Wynn said. “I was telling everybody on the sideline ‘That’s my Richmond guy out there, I told ya.
