NY Giants make mistake not drafting wide receiver in 2nd round?

This year’s NFL Draft had one of the deepest classes when it came to the wide receiver position in recent memory, but the NY Giants still decided to take Kadarius Toney with the 20th overall pick.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network mentioned on Monday that according to research, more wide receivers taken in the second round end up making the Pro Bowl than guys taken in the first or third round.

I’m not saying that Toney wasn’t worth taking in the first round because we won’t really know for a few years, but as some people have mentioned, guys like Tyreek Hill are the main reason that teams like the Giants, Jacksonville Jaguars and Green Bay Packers were all willing to take Toney so high in the draft.
