It’s far from a secret that the main reason the NY Giants defense has been so mediocre the past two seasons has been from the lack of a real pass rush. Luckily for Big Blue, there are actually a plethora of solid pass-rushers available in free agency this offseason.
While many have their sights set on the elite of the elite potential free agents, the reality is that the guys at the top of the market are likely to be retained by their own teams via the franchise tag, at minimum. For that reason, the NY Giants will have to target the next level of pass-rushers that will actually hit the market.
