The Giants continue to discard players who were with them last season and this entire spring and summer and sign outsiders to their revolving-door roster.
Tuesday’s transaction was the addition of John Jenkins, a 29-year-old defensive tackle, and the waiving of Romeo Okwara, a 23-year-old defensive end who had one memorable moment in a Giants uniform.
Jenkins played in eight games last season for the Bears. He was a 2013 third-round pick of the Saints out of Georgia and spent four years in New Orleans. A 327-pound run-stuffer, he played in 42 games his first three years in the NFL and only 17 the past three years.
