The New York Giants' 2025 season didn't officially end when rookie running back Cam Skattebo suffered a season-ending dislocated ankle in Week 8, but for all intents and purposes, it was the unofficial death blow.
In the eight games before his injury, Skattebo had me emotionally overinvesting in a Giants season that had no business doing that. The fourth-rounder out of Arizona State was a weekly highlight reel who brought grit and toughness back to Giants football. He instantly became a fan favorite for his is-he-okay quirks and unlimited, high-energy personality.
