NFL says Steelers' footballs used in Giants game were in compliance

As with most sequels, DeflateGate II didn’t come close to living up to the original.

According to a report by Jay Glazer on Fox Sports’ NFL pregame show on Sunday, the Giants tested the air pressure in two footballs they recovered via turnovers by the Steelers in last week’s game in Pittsburgh once they came to the sideline and sent them to the league for further examination. All of which harks back to the Patriots and the league’s investigation that they deliberately deflated footballs for use in the 2014 AFC Championship Game against the Colts. That eventually led to Tom Brady’s four-game suspension this year and a $1-million fine plus the loss of two draft picks by the Patriots.
