PHILADELPHIA -- The Eagles came out of the weekend with one successful waiver claim, bringing in released Seahawks linebacker D.J. Alexander.
Apparently they had their targets on two other players, too, both defensive linemen -- defensive end Mario Edwards and defensive tackle T.Y. McGill, per NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Edwards was released by the Raiders on Saturday and the Eagles were one of three teams to place a claim on him, the others being the Giants and Bills. The Giants were rewarded Edwards by virtue of their higher placement in the waiver order, which goes in order according to 2017 finish, from worst to best.
