The New York Giants are currently in a situation where they need to find a suitable successor for veteran quarterback Eli Manning. Whether it be a free agent or draft pick is yet to be seen, but Ohio State star signal-caller Dwayne Haskins currently leads the pack.
Haskins has been mocked to the Giants over and over, but why? And what makes him so special?
The 2019 NFL draft class is rather slim in regards to quality/proven talent. Haskins realistically only had one stellar season, which is his primary red flag – a lack of consistency is worrisome, but the 6-3, 220-pound quarterback improved in every game as the season progressed last year.
