With the New York Giants having their first No. 2 overall pick since 1981, it is clear that both Gettleman and Shurmur understand the potential impact of this pick, especially if they decide to go the route of drafting a quarterback.
“If you make a mistake on a quarterback this high, it sets you back at least five years. You have to be right,” Gettleman said.
As has been the case since Gettleman took over late last year, he refused to rule out any option.
“You take the best players when you can, if a player is worthy of a second overall pick in any draft, you take him.
