New York Giants Sign Devonta Freeman; Should They Now Trade For a Receiver?

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Giants have signed running back DeVonta Freeman to a one-year, $3 million deal.

Freeman, 28, spent his first six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons.

Freeman’s agency announced that the running back “turned down more money from other teams” to join the Giants because of the “opportunity.”

Last season, Freeman averaged 3.6 yards per carry and 4.4 yards per touch.

He joins Wayne Gallman and Dion Lewis in the Giants backfield after the season-ending injury to Saquon Barkley.

With Freeman now added to their roster, could they potentially look to acquire a difference-maker at wide receiver?
