New York Giants Sign Defensive Tackle John Jenkins

According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, the New York Giants have signed 29-year-old defensive tackle John Jenkins.

Jenkins spent last season with the Chicago Bears, appearing in just eight games and recording five combined tackles.

He entered the league in 2013 and spent his first four seasons with the New Orlean Saints.

With the team having very little depth on the defensive line, a move like this isn’t too shocking, as Jenkins will sit behind Damon Harrison on the depth chart at nose tackle.

The Giants waived defensive end Romeo Okwara in the process.
