New York Giants seeking answers at CB, sign Leonard Johnson

The New York Giants filled multiple needs this offseason but still entered training camp with questions at the cornerback position. The loss of rookie cornerback Sam Beal to a season-ending shoulder injury in his first practice surely didn’t help.

With limited cap space, Gettleman added a new piece to the secondary on Friday, signing six-year veteran Leonard Johnson.

The Giants reportedly also worked out veteran free agent Alterraun Verner but elected to go with Johnson.
