This past Sunday, New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley played for the first time since Sept. 22. That was when the second-year star suffered a high ankle sprain in a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He missed three consecutive matchups but was then able to conjure up 72 yards on the ground along with a touchdown in the loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
An offensive weapon the Giants weren’t able to field this past Sunday, however, was veteran wideout Sterling Shepard. The fourth-year pro is still nursing a concussion, his second time in the protocol this season alone.
