The New York Giants third-round pick from 2015 continues to disappoint. ESPN reported on Aug. 28, 2017 that Odighizuwa garnered his ban for use of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). Perhaps, events leading up to the suspension explain the erratic pattern of conduct from the former Bruin.
This offseason Odighizuwa sent a cryptic tweet that intimated that he was retiring from football. The team stood by him and excused him from OTA’s. He was again excused from mandatory mini-camp in June, and he reported to training camp on July 27th.
According to ESPN – New York Giants beat writer Jordan Raanan, Odighizuwa has mostly practiced with the third string defense and has refused interview requests.
