New York Giants place longtime LS Zak DeOssie on IR

Longtime New York Giants long snapper Zak DeOssie will, unfortunately, have his 2019 season come to an end.

On Saturday, Michael Eisen of the Giants’ official website confirmed that the team was placing DeOssie on season-ending injured reserve. The veteran is apparently dealing with setbacks to his knee and wrist.

DeOssie is a 13-year pro, having originally been selected in the fourth round (No. 116 overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft out of Brown University. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler, representing the NFC in both the 2008 and 2010 seasons.

This will be DeOssie’s first missed games since he hit season-ending injured reserve in 2015.
