New York Giants: Owner John Mara Responds To 0-2 Record

After the New York Giants lost to the winless San Fransico 49ers in 2017, it was expected that changes would be made to the front-office and coaching staff. Shortly after, head coach Ben McAdoo and general manager Jerry Reese were both let go and asked to turn in their key-cards.

Co-owner John Mara began the hunt for a new HC and GM, but he didn’t have to look very far as Dave Gettleman came stomping about after being fired from the Carolina Panthers. His history with the Giants and relationship with Mara got him the job, and they agreed to hire ex-Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to replace McAdoo.
