According to ESPN’s Jordan Raanan, New York Giants linebacker Olivier Vernon has been ruled out for Sunday’s game vs the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Vernon is dealing with a high ankle sprain that forced him to miss practice on Wednesday and Thursday.
He missed four games last season with an ankle injury, so you could see why the Giants would want to play it safe here in Week 1.
