Patrick Omameh became a member of the New York Giants early this offseason after the Jaguars signed a blockbuster deal with his replacement Andrew Norwell. Omameh played for the Jags for the last two seasons and played well. Patrick Omameh was looking for, and deserved, starter money; the Jaguars decided to spend even more and upgrade their line with the best free agent offensive lineman.
The Giants quickly swept in and signed Omameh to a three-year, $15 million deal, but with only $5.5 million guaranteed. It seems likely that he could have gotten more guaranteed money somewhere else, but signed with the Giants early.
