According to multiple reports, the New York Giants have claimed wide receiver Stacy Coley off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.
In a corresponding move, the Giants waived fullback Shane Smith.
The Giants added fullback/running back Elijhaa Penny to the roster on Tuesday, so Smith’s departure wasn’t exactly a surprise.
Coley played in Minnesota’s first two games this season, and four games last year with the Vikings when current Giants head coach Pat Shurmur was his offensive coordinator.
Coley also has punt/kick returning potentail, which could hurt Kaelin Clay’s spot on the roster.
