It wasn’t as simple as a pulled hamstring or broken hand. Pierre-Paul was rushed to hospital in Florida after a scary fireworks accident. The date was July 4, 2015. Even though Pierre-Paul has traded in Big Blue for Pewter Power, he still remains in our memories, as a valued former member of the New York Giants.
Back then, the JPP fireworks accident became the dominant conversation in and around the NFL for a long time. Initially, no one knew much, and the New York Giants franchise was kept at an arm’s length from the player.
Eventually, x-rays of JPP’s hand were leaked, and that caused further consternation and mystery.
