The New York Giants are planning to move forward with a new quarterback; one not named Eli Manning. For the first time since 2004 (with the exception of that one 2017 game with Geno Smith), Manning isn’t the guy leading the Giants offense. Now, it’s rookie Daniel Jones‘ team, and the organization plans on it staying that way for years to come.
Head coach Pat Shurmur chose to make the switch prior to their Week 3 game against the Tampa Bay Buccanneers. When he made the inevitable decision, Shurmur wanted to inform former Big Blue head coach Tom Coughlin.
