According to reports, Everson Griffen told the Vikings he’s voiding the remainder of his contract. A player option in Griffen’s deal allows him to end his arrangements and be a free agent this offseason.
There is a chance that Minnesota and Griffen reach an agreement on a new deal. Everson has stated that he wants to stay in Minnesota. However, being on the open market and talking to other teams could change Everson’s mind.
