New York Giants: Evan Engram will be given an opportunity

That’s all well and good, but New York Giants youngsters tight end Evan Engram and wideout Sterling Shepard still have to get it done on the field. Both players have shown flashes of why they were both high NFL draft picks. Both have been inconsistent and battled injuries as well.

The “new” Giants paradigm could see an expanded role for the athletic tight end from Ole Miss. At first, Engram took a step back in head coach Pat Shurmur’s offense. In addition, a hamstring injury limited Engram to 11 games total last season.

But Shurmur didn’t write off Engram completely, and an expanded role in 2019 seem likely.
