Mike Francesa wishes Corey Ballentine was his son: draft pick’s dad

Corey Ballentine’s dad fired back at blowhard sports-radio host Mike Francesa on Monday for saying his son’s shooting is a black stain on the Giants, who just drafted the college football standout.

“This is the kid that that guy [Francesa] wished he had as his son,” Ballentine’s dad, Karl Vaughn, told The Post.

Ballentine, a 23-year-old grid star at Washburn University in Topeka, Kan., had been out celebrating just getting draft when he was wounded and his best friend and roommate, Dwane Simmons, also 23, was shot dead early Sunday. The pair were at an off-campus party thrown by some members of the school’s women’s soccer team.
