Michael Srahan was ‘scared to death’ of New York

He may be a 6-foot-5 former defensive end, but Michael Strahan says that the first time he came to New York he was “scared to death.”

The Texas native says on the syndicated show “In Depth With Graham Bensinger,” which airs this weekend, “I remember being in the car — the taxis are driving crazy, the horns, there are people everywhere. And I thought Houston was fast.”

The “GMA” host, whose first NFL gig was with the Giants in the early ’90s, said that on his first visit, “I just went to my hotel room, stayed in my room until they sent someone to pick me up and take me where I needed to go.
