Marc Ross is first to interview for Giants general manager job

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The interview process has begun for the New York Giants as they look for Jerry Reese’s replacement. It started with the team’s vice president of player evaluation Marc Ross.

Ross, 44, met Monday with co-owner John Mara and former general manager Ernie Accorsi, who has been hired to consult the team in its search.

Ross has been in his current role since 2013. He previously spent six years as the Giants’ director of college scouting.

Reese spent 10 years as the Giants’ general manager before being fired two weeks ago as the team cited a need for “wholesale changes.
