Shane Olivea was one of the kids who would come back.

It didn’t matter if he was capturing a national championship at Ohio State or helping the Chargers to their winningest regular season in franchise history. Olivea, the "gentle giant," would somehow find his way back to Lawrence High School, even though he played football there for only a year. He had friends there, community, and when the high school team didn’t have money for championship rings, Olivea opened up his wallet.
