NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The Jets and Giants will meet for the 13th time on Sunday when the MetLife Stadium co-tenants square off at 1 p.m.
The series dates back to 1970, and the Giants have won eight of the 12 games. Big Blue has won the last five meetings, with the Jets’ last victory over Big Blue coming on Oct. 31, 1993 at Giants Stadium.
Sunday’s game has huge playoff implications. The Jets (6-5) currently own the seventh seed in the AFC standings, and the Giants (5-6) are tied with the Redskins for the NFC East lead, though they are currently on the outside looking in due to the tiebreaker.
