Jon Halapio ready to be the Giants’ center of attention again

The backbone of the Giants’ offensive line won’t be new additions Kevin Zeitler or Mike Remmers. Neither will it be Nate Solder or Will Hernandez, who are both returning for their second season in the Meadowlands.

It’ll be the man in the middle.

Center Jon Halapio has worked his way back after suffering a fractured ankle last season. The 27-year-old got hurt in the Giants’ Week 2 loss to the Cowboys, missing the rest of the season.

“It was hard,” Halapio said last week. “I had my days where I would have a ‘why me’ type of feeling.
