New York Giants star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. skipped the club’s OTA’s this offseason but reported for Big Blue’s mandatory minicamp.
Many people thought Beckham was trying to make a statement as he gets ready to enter the 2017 season under his rookie contract, which will only pay him $1.5 million this coming season.
Giants’ owner John Mara made a radio appearance this week and stated that getting a new deal for Beckham is not their top priority.
“There’s always a chance, but it’s not our No. 1 priority right now,” Mara said after appearing with Mike Francesa on WFAN, via Newsday.
