Jets’ Marshall Defends Wife’s Honor Against Giants’ Jenkins

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Brandon Marshall thought Cullen Jenkins took his trash talk too far.

The New York Jets wide receiver needed to be restrained while arguing with the Giants defensive lineman in the second quarter of a 23-20 overtime win Sunday.

“I think there are some things that are off-limits,” Marshall said. “I believe in trash talk. Some guys get up for that, but some things are off-limits. He made a comment about, he said (something about) my ‘girl.’ He didn’t know I was married.”

Marshall, who said Jenkins later apologized to him, didn’t disclose exactly what else was said, but made it clear he wasn’t happy.
