The older brother of Giants cornerback Janoris Jenkins has been charged in the death of a music producer whose body was found in the football player’s home, officials said.
William Jenkins, a 34-year-old ex-con, faces a charge of aggravated manslaughter in the death of Roosevelt Rene, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday afternoon.
Rene, 25, was found dead by a worker in the basement of Janoris Jenkins’s Fair Lawn, N.J. home on Tuesday, authorities said.
The death is being probed as a possible strangulation, the NFL Network reported.
The star defensive back, 29, was in Florida at the time of the grim discovery.
